CHESTER, N.J., May 10, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Approximately 3 billion Americans grill year round, yet we all know the unofficial kick-off to grilling season begins on Memorial Day. Staples of backyard barbecues traditionally include hot dogs and hamburgers accompanied by French's mustard, but a little-known culinary secret is that this popular condiment is 100% natural, has zero calories and is gluten free. For over 100 years, French's Mustard has been made from the highest quality natural ingredients including stone ground #1 grade mustard seed. The spices give the brand its famous yellow color and master grinders craft its great flavor. In fact, a team of nine certified master grinders with more than one hundred years combined experience, ensure that every batch of French's mustard is worthy of the red pennant.
As you gather friends and family to celebrate Memorial Day, make sure you have this grilling staple on-hand. With French's family of mustard flavors like Classic Yellow, Spicy Brown and Horseradish, you can create a variety of exciting burger toppings. But don't stop there, the culinary possibilities are endless. Instead of a traditional potato salad, surprise your guests with French's Creamy & Tangy Potato Salad (at frenchs.com) or take your standard recipes for coleslaw and baked beans and turn them into something truly exciting by adding some mustard.
"Grilling remains a favorite cooking method because it's quick, easy and delivers distinctive flavor," says Ukonwa Ojo, Senior Brand Manager for French's Foods. "And French's Mustard is something you can feel good about serving your family because French's has been serving up zero calorie, gluten free, flavorful goodness since 1904!"
