Best Place to Work -- Awarded by the San Francisco Business Times, Armanino was named a Best Place to Work by its own employees for the 10th consecutive year. The firm rose to 18th from 26th last year in the 101 to 500-employee size category. More than 500 San Francisco Bay Area companies competed to be recognized on the list of 100. Armanino ranked in the top ten fastest growing firms in the country by revenue with 295 employees in three Bay Area offices and 475 nationally.

"We are gratified by our employee response this year, which pushed us up eight spots in the rankings for 2013 over 2012," said Armanino Managing Partner Andy Armanino. "We never miss this application because it is based on employee sentiment about our culture. We work very hard to define and strengthen our culture which is geared to giving employees clear career paths, opportunities to demonstrate and improve their skills, and instilling dedicated zeal for solving client problems and identifying opportunities."

Top 100 Accounting Firms – Accounting Today recently recognized Armanino as a top 100 accounting firm. Armanino's rapid revenue growth between 2011 ($84 million) and 2012 ($99.7 million) is largely organic, fueled by the firm's consulting team, which booked more than $42 million of revenue in 2012. Between 2011 and 2012, the firm climbed six spots in the 2013 ranking to 29th largest in the nation from 35th by revenue.

In a summary of executive comments for the list, Accounting Today noted that marketing has become a key function for successful firms and pointed to Armanino as a prime example. "We are doubling down on marketing in the coming year or two now that we've seen the power of marketing to drive revenue,' said Andy Armanino in the summary.

Top 100 VARS – Armanino moved up three spots to 7th from 10th in the list with a 62- percent increase in consulting revenue generated by 159 employees. In his summary, Bob Scott wrote:

Armanino's "revenue took a big jump. The accounting firm had $42 million in revenue come from its consulting business out of a total $99.7 million as acquisitions continued. For the 2012 list, Armanino had $27.92 million in consulting revenue."
