DAYTON, Ohio, June 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it has been certified as a Trusted Integrated Circuit Supplier by the Department of Defense (DoD). The Trusted Source accreditation certifies that MacB meets stringent product control and security standards in providing integrated circuits to DoD and the Intelligence Community.
As a testament to MacB's high standards for security, the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) designated MacB as a Category 1A supplier. This is the highest designation awarded by the Government. As a Category 1A trusted supplier, MacB can design and manufacture integrated circuits on certified processing systems by personnel with the appropriate security clearances, and will deliver them to the customer by DMEA approved methods.
"DoD and the Intelligence Community are increasingly demanding integrated circuit designs developed on trusted systems and through trusted supply chains," said Tim Lawrence, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB's Advanced Technology Group. "As the demand for highly advanced integrated circuits continues to grow, MacB is well positioned to securely design, develop and deliver the technology that will power the Nation's next generation National Security systems."
Work in the "Trust" market will primarily be done though MacB's Secure Computing and Communications Division, which was acquired earlier this year.
