Covisint to Host Webcast on Best Practices in Cloud-Based Integration Strategies and App Successes for Connected Vehicles, Featuring Gartner's Thilo Koslowski
DETROIT, June 24, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Covisint, a Compuware (Nasdaq:CPWR) company, today announced that it is hosting a free webcast on vehicle and owner connectivity. The June 25 event, titled "From the Cloud to the Vehicle," will feature not only Covisint, but also Gartner's lead analyst for connected vehicle technology, Thilo Koslowski, highlighting strategic areas of connectivity and mobility of interest to automakers, suppliers and industry professionals.
Koslowski will address key industry trends, focusing on how quickly connectivity is advancing, the global-yet-local technology strategies needed, how supply chains are changing as well as technology adoption trends. He also will offer three key guidelines for successful connected vehicle apps strategies.
"The automobile will become the ultimate mobile device," according to a recent Symposium presentation Koslowski gave in Orlando, Fla. "Companies that ignore the disruptive forces that the connected vehicle will unleash will miss significant opportunities. Automotive organizations in particular must embrace the connected vehicle to stay relevant in the future."*
Covisint's Tim Evavold, Director of Connected Vehicle Delivery, will outline the cloud-based shift driving this trend and the issues organizations face when seeking to integrate these technologies, people, devices and systems into a single, collaborative ecosystem. In addition, Evavold also will discuss:
- best practices for successful vehicle and back-end system integration strategies;
- tips on increasing the speed-of-delivery for the new connected vehicle features; and,
