ATLANTA, July 25, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Primrose Schools, the nation's leading educational child care franchise, announced today the addition of Chris Goethe, a seasoned developer of people and businesses, to serve as the company's new Vice President of Franchising. Goethe will lead Franchise Recruitment initiatives to grow the brand in new and existing markets, including Chicago, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Boston, San Francisco and Minneapolis, as well as oversee Brand Compliance initiatives.
Prior to joining Primrose, Chris served as the Director of Live Training and Business Development with Velociteach, an Atlanta-based education management company. It was during his tenure at Velociteach where Chris first worked with Primrose as a Project Management Consultant, helping the Support Center Team establish project management efficiencies. In addition to bringing a wealth of knowledge in people and project management to Primrose, Chris also conveys a passion for education. He and his late wife spent more than 11 years developing Oakbrook Preparatory School in Spartanburg, S.C. into an accomplished college preparatory school.
"Chris' dedication to developing people and passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and their families makes him a perfect fit to join the Primrose family," said Darin Harris, COO of Primrose Schools. "He is an accomplished executive who has already tremendously inspired our team through his work with our brand and the community."
Chris continues his work with children in the Atlanta area, mainly by ministering to families coping with childhood cancer through Blue Skies Ministries. He enjoys playing guitar professionally around Atlanta and also uses his musical talent to lead praise and worship activities for children at his church.
"Primrose has an amazing Support Center Team, and it is my job to help remove any obstacles in the way of achieving personal and professional growth within the franchise system," said Goethe. "Each and every day, more than 200 Franchise Owners across the country are making a difference in the communities they serve, and I am honored to further their mission by continuing to grow the brand and make quality, early childhood education accessible to more families across the country."
Primrose Schools expects to award another 30 schools in 2013, growing to approximately 312 schools nationwide by the end of 2014.
