Adrian, MI, July 31, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- VWerks, a specialty vehicle builder and off-road parts manufacturer, announced today its new dealer direct package, the VWerks F-150 Predator. This program takes Ford's best-selling pickup and transforms it with new body panels, bumpers and a slew of options that give it a more menacing look with off-road capabilities. Through select dealerships, customers can now order the Predator upfitted with additional hardware to match the level of off-road ability they need and the overall look they desire along with a variety of factory drivetrain options matched with optional performance parts.
"We want to customize the truck buying experience," says Jeff Wyatt, CEO of VWerks. "Most factory off-road trucks use a one-size-fits-all philosophy. We are giving enthusiasts the opportunity to buy an aggressively styled truck they can tailor to their needs. Two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, a mild lift to hardcore suspension; whether you want a highly modified truck capable of tackling the trails, or a cool looking pickup that will drop jaws at the local hardware store, the Predator can be modified to fit you."
The Predator starts with a base package for the 2007 through 2013 Super Crew Short and Long Bed F-150s and features additional upgrade options. The Predator conversion package includes a rugged hood, front grille, a Pre-Runner style front bumper with an integrated skid plate, aggressive front and rear fenders, front inner splash shields and VWerks badging. The base package also includes BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain MK2 Tires, V-Tec Wizard 395 Black Wheels, a 2" leveling kit, an LED light kit in the front grille and Predator graphics.
For those who want to further customize their truck, options include Fox Shox Coil Over Suspension, Flowmaster Cat Back performance exhaust, rear Venom bumper, Venom side step kit, cold air intake, tonneau cover, VWerks floor mats, Kicker sound system and Katzkin custom leather seats.
The Predator is available now through VWerks' growing nationwide network of authorized Ford dealers and individual Predator components can be ordered for truck owners that want to upfit their current pickup. Custom builds are also available for customers that have specific lifestyle needs - from show trucks and off-road vehicles to work trucks and high-speed desert runners.
