ATLANTA, Sept. 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Directors of Definition 6 announced the appointment of Barry Sikes as the agency's new CEO effective immediately. Mr. Sikes brings over 30 years of digital and video content development, as well as video production and broadcast distribution experience to Definition 6 that includes starting, running and selling a number of interactive media companies. Some of his key positions include being the founder and Senior Managing Partner of Creative Digital Group that specialized in the successful convergence of video on the Internet. Prior to CDG, Barry was a founding partner of iXL Enterprises whose core business was digital media and Internet consulting. Mr. Sikes was iXL's COO and helped the company grow to over $400 million in revenue before going public.
Barry has also held numerous leadership and creative positions in the broadcast and interactive media industries where his work has been recognized with over 40 production awards including Emmys, Tellys, Addys and ITVA awards.
The company also announced that Michael Kogon, founder and previously CEO of Definition 6 has been named Chief Revenue Officer and will report to Mr. Sikes.
