Valero Energy says Chairman Bill Greehey has resigned from the company's board so that he can focus on his jobs as chairman of Valero LP and Valero GP Holdings now that they are independent of Valero Energy. Greehey also plans to spend more time on philanthropy.
Valero Energy's board of directors has elected CEO Bill Klesse to replace Greehey as Chairman.
