Next (up 4.44%) Britain’s second-largest clothing retailer is up after posting full-year net profit earnings that beat analysts’ expectations.
Fortis (up 4.44%) and Dexia (up 3.74%) Shares of Fortis and Belgium bank Dexia are up on talk of Dutch group ING looking to make a possible acquisition.
Telenor (down 2.13%) The Norwegian telecoms group cut earnings and revenue forecasts late Wednesday.
Metro (down 0.32%) German retailer Metro’s shares continued to slide on the company’s weak profit report, which arrived Wednesday.
