Unions Agree to United Front as Chrysler Goes on the Block: WSJ

The unions of the United Auto Workers and the Canadian Auto Workers have agreed to work together to present a united front with regards to the upcoming sale of the Chrysler Group, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Both the CAW and UAW agree that their preferred outcome is that Chrysler stay within DaimlerChrysler and they will work toward that goal, said CAW President Buzz Hargrove.

The Journal says the two groups also want to decide collectively what the unions should do regarding Chrysler.
