CNBC Europe, the leading pan-European business and financial TV channel, has appointed Roslyn Shaw to the newly created position of Head of Creative Solutions.
Shaw will lead the network’s branded content activities, managing the production of all sponsored programming and commercial content for the network. Her overall objective will be to maintain CNBC Europe’s leadership position in this expanding genre of programming.

In 2005, CNBC Europe produced a number of highly acclaimed branded content programmes for a range of clients including Shell, BP, Cisco Systems and HP. Each delivered a cutting-edge solution that engaged the network’s exclusive audience of senior business leaders, finance professionals and active private investors.
Shaw has more than 13 years experience as an international programme maker and joins from FBC Ltd. where she was an executive producer and business development director. At FBC, Shaw successfully developed and managed the company’s leading branded content relationships, including a number of programmes for CNBC Europe. These included e-Life on behalf of Cisco Systems, Advantage Technology for Sun Microsystems and the Power of Flight for EADS. Shaw has also produced CNBC Europe’s World Business programme.

Shaw, a native New Zealander, was the youngest ever producer of the country’s highest-rated and most controversial nightly current affairs programme, Holmes. She also produced two live prime ministerial debates for the 1999 New Zealand national elections. She has also reported and presented business news for the BBC World Service and produced news for Television New Zealand and APTN in the U.K.
