Simon Hobbs, anchor of CNBC Europe’s European Closing Bell and Europe Tonight has been awarded International TV presenter of the Year by the Association of International Broadcasters.
The award was presented at a prestigious awards dinner held at The Savoy Hotel in London last night. “This is a tremendous endorsement of Simon’s talent as a broadcaster,” said Barbara Stelzner, Director of News at CNBC Europe. “We’re delighted that he has been recognised in this way.”
Simon specialises in robust and incisive questioning of some of the world’s leading business leaders and politicians. He focuses on stories which affect the European Union, including the impact of EU expansion on the larger European economies and how legislation from Brussels is affecting business across Europe.
European Closing Bell has become a must-view show for those business people seeking insight and understanding of some of the most important issues affecting European business.
