Sometimes The Guys Get Burned

Of course, nobody’s perfect! Following are the picks that didn’t quite pan out.

Guy Adami

On April 18th The Negotiator recommended Southwest (LUV) as his favorite airline. Since then the stock is down 7% on downgrades.

Guy says LUV is still the best airline, but right now he’s staying away from the whole sector.

Jeff Macke

On April 20th The Lone Wolf said, “I don’t want to own Amazon (AMZN).” Since then the stock skyrocketed 39% on earnings.

Jeff says he still doesn’t want to own it.

Tim Strazzini

On April 9th The Risk Doctor predicted internet phone carrier Vonage (VG) was dead. Since then the stock is up 10%.

It's worth noting, on Tuesday Vonage won relief from a potentially crippling court order that would have barred it from signing up new customers as punishment for infringing on patents held by Verizon

Tim still doesn’t like VG.

Eric Bolling

On April 19th The Admiral recommended Melco PBL Entertainment (MPEL). Since then the stock dropped 7%.

Eric says it’s the third time he’s been fast fired for MPEL. It’s a longer term play for goodness sake, he exclaims.
