Lights, Camera, Trading!

In this feature, Fast Money retail analyst Jeff Macke takes a closer look at what’s hot and why - following are the sizzling Summer movies and Jeff’s red carpet trades.

Jeff Macke explains 13 big budget releases are expected to bring in $2.1 billion this Summer with 3 huge releases coming out this month, alone.

Here are films he’s keeping an eye on - and the companies connected to them.

Spider-Man 3

Studio: Sony (SNE)
Licensee: Marvel (MVL)
Toys: Hasbro (HAS)
Video Games: Activision (ATVI)

Shrek 3

Studio: DreamWorks (DWA)
Toys: Hasbro,DreamWorks (DWA)
Video Games: Activision (ATVI)

Pirates of the Caribbean 3

Studio: Disney (DIS)
Toys: Disney (DIS)
Video Games: Disney (DIS)

Jeff says the play is Hasbro and Activision because if either Spider-Man 3 or Shrek 3 perform better than expected, there’s considerable upside for selling more toys and video games.

Eric Bolling says forget the Summer movies. If investors are looking for a video game play, he recommends Nintendo (NTDOY).
