Blackboard Gets Software Deal with Mississippi Community Colleges

Blackboard has won a deal with the state of Mississippi's community college system worth a total of $9.5 million over three years.

Blackboard will provide its products, technology and services to all 15 Mississippi community colleges with a combined enrollment of over 65,000 students.

Blackboard develops and sells enterprise software to the educational industry serving the information needs of students, educators and institutions. The company ended fiscal 2006 with 3462 clients, 55% from the U.S. higher education (colleges and universities) market.
