ITV's Advertising Revenue Drops 5.7%

ITV, Britain's biggest commercial broadcaster, said on Thursday its total advertising revenue was down by 5.7% for the six months to June, compared to an overall flat market.

It said advertising revenue at the main ITV1 channel was down by 9.6% over the first half of 2007 compared to a year ago.

Over the first 17 weeks of 2007 to 29 April, the ITV family of channels achieved a viewing share in multichannel homes of 21.9% which was slightly ahead of the same period in 2006.
