Jeanette Symons launched Imbee.com after her two young children expressed interest in setting up their own blogs. Jeanette became worried that what her children posted online
would create a trail leading directly to them.
Realizing there had to be a better way, Jeanette decided to set up a server in her closet so her children could network with their friends and be protected from the dangers of the internet. Imbee.com was born – becoming the first secure social networking and blogging destination specifically designed for kids ages 8-14.
Imee.com now has more than 50,000 users all over the country and all of the content is stored beneath a secure firewall and can’t be accessed by either internet search engines or unauthorized users.
