European Shares Seen Tracking US, Asia Lower

European shares were set to open clearly lower on Friday, tracking sharp falls in the United States and Asia as credit worries returned to the forefront.

Bookmakers expect Britain's FTSE to open down 45-46 points, Germany's DAX down 58-62 points and France's CAC 40-53 points lower, extending Thursday's steep losses.

Investors will focus on non-farm payrolls from the United States for clues to the future of interest rates two days after the Federal Reserve served up a widely expected 25-basis point rate cut.
