NOVEMBER 15, 2007 -- After Alex Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia met with the Yankees without agent Scott Boras many had concluded that Boras was out of the picture, at least in A-Rod's negotiations with the Yankees. But Boras told CNBC sports business reporter Darren Rovell that is not the case.
"Alex and Cynthia visited the Steinbrenners and Yankees officials and following that, instructed me to discuss contract terms with the Yankees," Boras told Rovell over the phone.
Following the conversation, Rovell reported the news on "Power Lunch."
