VM Beware

tomorrows_playbook_3.jpg

VMware (VMW), one of the hottest IPO’s of the year is coming under pressure as Microsoft takes aim at its competitor. Can VMware withstand Microsoft's onslaught and remain strong in 2008?

Competition in the space will certainly hurt VMware says Guy Adami, bit I don’t see that happening until the later part of ’08.

The knock on VM ware will come on valuation, he adds. When the stock gets to the low 80’s I think it’s a buy but by the end of ’08 valuation will catch up and then it will likely move lower.
