Semiconductor giant Intel is being investigated by Andrew Cuomo, New York attorney general, his office said Thursday.

The AG is probing whether Intel violated state and/or federal antitrust laws in its market-share battle with key rival Advanced Micro Devices .

"Our investigation is focused on determining whether Intel has improperly used monopoly power to exclude competitors or stifle innovation.
