Fast Message - Profit From The Panic

Time to sort through the Fast Money in-box and answer more of your questions.

Tish From North Carolina

Tish writes, “Hi All! Love your show! What do you think about the UltraShort ETFs? Do you have any recommendations on the best ones to buy now? I'm tired of losing money. Thanks for your advice on these.”

I like the UltraShort S&P 500 and Short Dow30 ProShares , replies Dennis Gartman. In fact, I don’t think enough people use them.

Jerry from Tennessee

Jerry writes, “I am a new investor as of last week. I hear you all say the staple name brand stocks are a value right now. As a newbie should I stick with sure bets?”

There are no sure things in this market, says Jeff Macke. However I like Procter & Gamble and McDonald’s (MCD).

Or take a look at JP Morgan (JPM), says Dennis Gartman.

I think this is great timing, adds Karen Finerman. This is a great time to get into stocks.

Don from Texas

Don writes, “What bear market? The sky may be falling in the world of banks and financial underwriters, but very few of us here on Main Street are worried out losing our homes or jobs. What a great buying opportunity!”

If you’re going to buy stocks watch the volatility, says Pete Najarian. When it’s above 30% use it in your favor.

Andy from Arizona

Andy writes, “What about the exchanges? They have been killed. Is this an opportunity?”

I would look at NYSE/Euronext says Guy Adami. The stock should probably have a 90-handle on it.

Or check out the Nasdaq (NDAQ), adds Pete Najarian.

William writes, “Do you think fast food has become a consumer staple?”

Not really, says Jeff Macke. Other than McDonald’s I don’t think it’s where you want to put your money. Instead look at traditional consumer staples.
