Microsoft CFO: Our Products Will Prevail

After blowing away analysts' expectations for the just-finished quarter, Microsoft expects a sensational 2008.

"All of our businesses in the first half either met or beat expectations," Chief Financial Officer Chris Liddell told CNBC.

"We have a great spread from a product point of view, and a great spread from a geographic point of view."

The company expects some mild effects from the slowing economy early in 2008, but is looking for a strong finish.

"There may, obviously, be concerns in some areas of the economy, but for our product range, we're actually very optimistic," Liddell said.
