Looking for a retail trade that could make the competition green with envy. Commander Planet to the rescue!
Following is the report filed by Fast Money’s Trading Superhero, Pete Najarian. (In case you’re wondering, yes it’s supposed to be a little tongue in cheek.)

I am Commander Planet. This Green Week and I’m circling the globe to bring you the fastest and cleanest trades. Tonight we look at an unlikely place: retail.
With investors watching their wallets and gas prices reaching record levels buying in bulk never seemed so appealing. Frequent car trips to the grocery store are becoming a thing of the past as shoppers load up at Costco with enough burgers and buns to last them all summer.
Not interested in the warehouse stores. Some of the product makers are also going green.
Consumer giant Clorox recently launched a new line called Green Works; all products contain 99% natural ingredients and come in biodegradable packaging. Meanwhile Colgate bought “Tom’s of Maine” toothpaste in an attempt to appear more eco-friendly. Even clothing retailers are getting in on the act. Hot Swedish fashion house H&M now uses organic cottons and biodegradable shopping bags.

Seriously Pete, how do you recommend trading it?
Look at Wal-Mart because they’re getting China to become more conscious of their carbon footprint, JC Penney for their Simply Green label, Interface which makes recycled carpet, and Apogee for energy efficient glass.
