Mars Acquisition of Wrigley: 3rd Biggest Deal of 2008


Privately held candy maker, Mars confirmed that it is buying Wrigley's for $23B in partnership with Warren Buffett. The combination would match up confection brands like M&Ms and Snickers with Orbit, Extra, Altoids and Lifesavers. The deal would rank as the third biggest announced deal of the year.
