European Shares Set to track US, Asian Gains

European equities were set to rise on Friday, tracking gains on Wall Street and in Asia, as a fall in commodity prices further eased concerns over consumer spending and inflation.

Financial bookmakers, or spread betters, in London expected Britain's FTSE 100 index to open between 10 and 13 points higher, the German DAX 15 to 22 points higher, and the French CAC 40 22 to 23 points higher.

Oil fell by more than a dollar to below $114 a barrel on demand concerns and as the dollar hit a six-month high against the euro.
