For any government it would be hard to ensure the re-election of its party during a time when it's faced with a falling housing market, rising food and energy prices and mounting fears of unemployment.

But UK's Prime Minister Gordon Brown faces the additional challenges of dissent from members of his ruling Labor Party and pessimistic economic forecasts. Critics have called for Brown's resignation but his friends say the Prime Minister's message hasn't been properly conveyed and PR specialists are frantically trying to rebrand him.
