CNBC Europe, the leading pan-European business and financial news channel has appointed Niaz Samadizadeh as Head of its Creative Solutions department. Based in London, Samadizadeh will be responsible for managing the Creative Solutions team, who generate branded content solutions for commercial clients.
Samadizadeh will manage the production of all sponsored programming and commercial content for the network. His overall objective will be to maintain CNBC Europe’s leadership position in this expanding genre of programming.
With 10 years experience in business journalism and television production at CNBC Europe, Samadizadeh was most recently Head of News and has worked as a producer, supervising producer and executive producer across the channel’s programme portfolio, including the flagship Squawk Box Europe and European Closing Bell. Prior to joining CNBC Europe he worked European Business News (EBN) where he was a journalist.
Samadizadeh will report to Paul Maraviglia, VP & European Sales Director EMEA at CNBC Europe. Maraviglia commented, “I’m very pleased that Niaz is moving into the Head of Creative Solutions role. With 10 years of experience on the editorial side of the business, he brings a wealth of news and programming experience that will enable us to continue to create compelling branded content solutions that are interesting and relevant to our C-suite audience.”
Samadizadeh, who holds a First Class degree in Economics from Newcastle University, will work alongside Ros Shaw, who has taken on the role of Head of Strategic Content within the Creative Solutions department.
