CNBC, First in business Worldwide, today announced a global commercial agreement with BT Global Services. The exclusive deal will see BT sponsor CNBC’s forthcoming weekly series, Collaboration Now, which will begin airing in October across Europe, the US, Asia and in India.
Collaboration Now, a five part series, will be presented by CNBC’s Donny Deutsch, host of The Big Idea, and will discuss how collaboration is becoming a necessary tool to compete in an ever demanding global environment. In order to stay ahead of the curve, organisations will need to redefine the rules of collaboration, build trust in new ways, collaborate in virtual environments, and partner with those who help make it happen.
The first programme will air in Europe on 13 October with five and ten second BT branded spots running adjacent to the programme. Thirty second BT branded spots will also run throughout the duration of the campaign, which ends in June 2009. BT’s on-air activity will also include sponsorship of the Global Market Update on CNBC in China. The campaign will also be supported by a Collaboration Now programme page on CNBC.com and print advertisements in CNBC European Business Magazine.
In addition to the on-air element, the campaign will also include on the ground sponsorship of CNBC events and on-line and print support. For the third consecutive year, BT will become award sponsor at CNBC’s prestigious European Business Leaders Awards and will also sponsor the Asia Business Leaders Awards. The Awards programmes recognise the CEOs in each region who are making a difference through leadership and culminate in a gala Awards ceremony attended by the region’s top CEOs. CNBC will produce two eforum events for BT, the first of which will be streamed live from Gartner’s IT Expo in Cannes in November.
Julie Woods-Moss, President of Strategy, Marketing and Propositions, BT, said: “We are very pleased to be working with CNBC again. The channel is able to provide us with direct access to an audience of high-profile, C-suite executives.”
Paul Maraviglia, VP European Sales Director, EMEA, CNBC, said: “We are looking forward to another successful partnership with BT. This year’s multi-platform campaign will allow BT to reach our global and influential audience through on-air, online, print and event driven elements.”
