Episode #19 (OAD 1/21/09) –

"Hazardous Healthcare: A Wall Street Wonder Takes a Fall": For Richard Scrushy, being CEO of healthcare giant HealthSouth and a Wall Street darling wasn't enough. His need for the spotlight led him to front a country band, manage a pop girl group, and even become a televangelist. But, Scrushy was also accused of fronting one of the largest corporate frauds in U.S. history, misleading shareholders and the government into thinking the company was making money, when it wasn't. Almost one year to the day after his surprise acquittal on charges stemming from the $2.7 billion fraud, many feel justice was finally served due to a bizarre twist of fate.

CNBC's unprecedented original primetime series, "American Greed," focuses on how greed can change a person's life and how some people will do anything for money. CNBC's "American Greed" airs original episodes on WEDNESDAYS at 9PM and 1 AM, ET, with a re-air on SUNDAYS at 11PM ET.
