Nouriel Roubini aka “Dr. Doom” was one of the few economists who predicted much of the current financial turmoil and who says we’re still in for more gloom and doom adding the US is nowhere near the end of the banking and credit crisis.

Roubini says he sees negative economic growth throughout 2009, predicting that the unemployment rate could reach roughly 10 percent in the next year.

Now this famed economist is teaming up with the historian and author, Stephen Mihm to write, “CRISIS ECONOMICS.”

The book is set for publication in 2010.

The deal, mentioned on Publisher’s Marketplacewill introduce “the iconoclastic vision that enabled Roubini to foretell the current crisis before other economists saw it coming, looking at of how we got here and what the future may hold”

The book was sold to Eamon Dolan at Penguin Press.

Professor Roubini's most recent appearance on CNBC was February 9, 2009. I've attached it here so you can watch him and Nassim Taleb author of "The Black Swan."
