Adami's Rising Star Stock - Monday March 16th

Guy Adami's Rising Star Stock - Monday March 16th

In this feature the traders reveal their favorite rising star stock. Find out why Guy Adami thinks an auto trade could drive profits in your portfolio.

This weeks rising star stock is BorgWarner .

According to the company's website, BorgWarner is a leader in powertrain products and technologies. They breakdown their business profile into two distinct groups; 1) the Engine Group which works in fuel efficiency, reduced emissions and enhanced performance, and 2) the Drivetrain Group which deals in transmission and all-wheel drive technology.

Here are some more particulars:

BorgWarner (BWA)

-Based in Auburn Hills, MI
-Sector: Consumer Goods
-Industry: Auto Parts
-Market Cap of $2.1B
-52-Week High $55.99
-52-Week Low $14.62
-Down 41% Over Last 52 Weeks

Why is this firm a rising star stock?

“This was a great story a year and a half ago and now it’s gotten crushed with the rest of the sector,” Adami says. “But if you think the auto industry is going to flourish at some point, in some country, BWA fits the bill."

Adami particularly likes that the firm is developing green technology for the industry which he thinks will only make them more valuable in the years ahead -- and he's impressed that they have a backlog of “tremendous proportion compared to their market cap.”

“They were a rising star 18 months ago and I believe they will be again,” he says.
