Karen Finerman is anticipating some hot M&A action. What’s she watching and how is she playing it?
Finerman is closely watching the chip space and speculates Broadcom may sweeten its offer for rival Emulex . As you may know the initial offer of $9.25/share was dismissed by Emulex as inadequate.
I think its high noon, she explains. The shareholders have spoken in that Emulex is trading far above what Broadcom bid so I think we’ll see some action – and I think it’s a higher bid.
