3 Hot Stocks No Matter Market Direction

How can you profit with the market flailing in either direction?

Since the March lows the S&P has gained as much as 40% but stocks have been lackluster lately. As earnings season plays out, results should confirm whether we’re in the beginning of a new bull market or if the March rally was just a big bear market bounce.

And although every investor wants to know where the market is heading, the issue of bull vs. bear is particularly vexing for many retail investors who regularly play the market long, but are hesitant or unfamiliar with how to go short.

So what's the early verdict?

According to Danielle Hughes Of Divine Capital we’re in a corrective rally, but “this is not a bull market.” Despite of all the talk of “green shoots” Hughes doesn’t see the recovery taking root and explains industrial production needs to be much more robust before she can feel bullish.

Not good news if you’re only comfortable as a buyer. But that doesn’t mean the only plays are short.

Hughes thinks there are plenty of long opportunities in the market and recommends 3 stocks as buys – all could pop higher:

Hughes Hot Stocks

Diodes
Itron
Fuel Tech

For me the long trade right now is all about companies that can take us to the next level, explains Hughes. I’m a buyer of productivity names and would put the three mentioned above on your radar.
