Commodity ETF Implosion And Wall Street Overhaul

At least one bank appears to be making a statement about President Obama’s decision to overhaul that nation’s financial rules.

The potential of stricter limits seems to be driving a decision by Deutsche Bank to redeem all of its most bullish oil exchange-traded notes.

In a release issued Tuesday Deutsche said by September 9th it would redeem outstanding shares of the PowerShares DB Crude Oil Double Long Exchange Traded Notes, due to a “regulatory event” in the US market. As you may remember, in August the CFTC announced plans in increase regulations in an attempt to curb excessive speculation.

It's worth noting that other Deutsche exchange-traded products allowing investors to bet on moves in oil prices are still offered.
