Our traders are good but you knew that! Check out their latest picks that paid in a regular feature we call "Quicker Than The Ticker."
On August 28th the Liquidator spotted not one, but two great plays off a commodity boom. “I truly believe that commodities continue their path higher as we march toward the end of the year,” he said. “And I do believe, $75 in oil, that may be a low print over the next 3 months...I am long Suncor and I am long Weatherford.”
Terranova hit pay-dirt. As oil hit $72 both Weatherford and Suncor rallied significantly.
On September 3rd the Negotiator spotted opportunity on a pullback. “Take a look at Walter Energy ,” he said. It went from $16 to $60, then recently pulled back down to $54. The stock got an upgrade today. Got one on Tuesday. Somebody slapped a $69 price tag on this stock. You know what, valuations are pretty reasonable on this thing. I still think this stock can go higher.”
Adami can spot a bargain. Since his call shares have jumped 11%.
On August 31st the Pit Boss used options activity as a ‘tell’ for a trade. “I’m seeing an unusual amount of both $22 and $23 calls in International Paper ,” he said. “Keep an eye on this name, there might be even more upside coming.”
Najarian read the activity perfectly. Shares of International Paper soared after Credit Suisse upgraded the stock.
On September 1st the Ambassador rang up profits with cellphone maker Nokia . At the time he said, “Credit Suisse downgraded the stock … I don't think that's a reason to throw this stock out the window…but that’s what people have been doing.”
The Ambassador trusted his instincts and it paid. Shares of Nokia are up about 10% since his call.
Now that’s Fast Money.
