10-Yr % Change
So if you weren't fortunate enough to put your 401k into the Ukraine on Dec. 31, 1999, what was your best allocation choices within our economy?
Energy stocks in the S&P 500 doubled while raw materials shares climbed 25 percent.
Sector Performance in the Last Decade:
S&P 500: -24%
Con. Disc: -23%
So, what’s the trade?
I think commodities is the long-trade for the decade to come, says Tim Seymour. Car sales in China alone have gone from 200,000 to over 1 million in the past ten years. But commodities are only trading 15% higher than they were in 1980 as measured by the CRB. With demand escalating in the emerging world it’s my ‘one brain cell’ trade for the decade ahead.
What do you think? We want to know!
