Like TV? You might love this. IMAX is making the move to the small screen and what they have planned might change the way you watch TV, forever!
In a deal with Discovery Communications and Sony , IMAX just announced plans to launch a 3D cable channel.
Coming in 2011, IMAX said it would have a full schedule of 3D programming available for its channel which includes a mix of new programming and currently available 3D shows and movies such as IMAX's "Under the Sea 3D" and "Space Station 3D.
Separately, ESPN announced it, too, was going 3D with a network of its own set to debut this year.
Also News Corp's BSkyB announced plans to launch Europe's first 3-D channel. DirecTV also has been looking to launch a 3D channel this year, writes the LA Times.
These developments could rapidly change the landscape of entertainment.
