Best Stocks So Far in 2010

Following six days of consecutive gains since the start of 2010, stocks in the S&P 500 have posted an average gain of 3.6%. Among the best performing companies, 22 stocks are already up nearly 15% or more, with Zions Bancorp leading the way, up 28.7%.

Some regional banks, which despite a strong rally in 2009, finished the year in the red but seem to have turned around the corner so far in 2010. Regions Financial and KeyCorp , for example, lost 33.5% and 34.9% respectively last year, but are now among this year's leaders.

The reverse trend seems to be weighing on some of last year's winners. Google and Amazon.com are two of the names that are lagging behind the rest of the group.
