A LIVE SPECIAL, "CNBC SPECIAL REPORT: BREAKING THE BANKS," WILL AIR TONIGHT AT 8PM ET

A live special, "CNBC SPECIAL REPORT: BREAKING THE BANKS," will air tonight, January 2lst at 8pm ET, pre-empting "Biography on CNBC".

The one-hour special, anchored by CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo from the New York Stock Exchange and CNBC’s Chief Washington Correspondent John Harwood from the White House, will analyze what this new regulation means and what impact it will have on the economy, the markets and investors.

CNBC anchors and reporters along with financial analysts and politicians will examine whether this new plan is the best way to keep our money safe.
