The easy money was made last year, so for big returns, you may need to look "overseas," said Gary Anderson, co-portfolio manager of Scout International Fund. He shared his stock picks with investors.
“A lot of the headwinds that I see are coming from [U.S.] government actions,” Anderson told CNBC.
Anderson said he likes the materials and infrastructure plays.
“Demand coming out of Asia remains strong, and as leading economic indicators keep picking up and GDP growth keeps picking up, the demand for infrastructure, steel, ship building and road building will continue; and the demand for electrical power is going to continue,” he said.
