Calls of the Day: Oil, Chips & More

Find out what top analysts are saying about crude oil, chip stocks and more. How should you be positioned, now?

Crude oil

Morgan Stanley is betting that oil prices march higher through the end of the year. According to analyst Hussein Allidina, expect crude to trade at $95 in 2010 buoyed by declining inventories and the improving global economy.

I agree, says Joe Terranova. I also think oil moves higher, it’s just a matter of how much higher. It seems to me we’re working off inventories. I expect oil to make a run at $90 into the spring.

Intel

Intel could make a run higher. In fact, shares of Intel could rise 25 percent or more over the next few years, writes Barron's citing increased demand for personal computers and servers as well as Intel’s new Atom processor.

In the long-term, I agree says Guy Adami, but over the next few weeks I think there's more downside.

Amazon

Amazon may be ahead of itself. BGC analyst Colin Gillis initiated coverage of Amazon with a ‘sell’ rating and a $100 price target citing valuations. Gills says Amazon valuations are “so notably above both traditional retailers and other Internet companies that any hiccup could cause multiple contraction.”

I agree, says Karen Finerman. As a value investor I do not believe in the current valuation of Amazon, even after the stock's recent decline.
