Global stocks were mixed on Monday after many indexes in January logged their worst performance since February last year. Experts told CNBC to invest in Asian banks, as their outlook has improved, and techs, especially mid- and small-cap companies.

Bullish on Techs

Robert Howe, CEO at Geomatrix HK is bullish on techs and he expects mid- and small-caps to outperform as investors shun bank and property stocks.

Euro Selloff 'Overdone'

The recent selloff in the euro is a bit "overdone", says Sean Callow, senior currency strategist at Westpac Bank. Daryl Guppy, CEO of GuppyTraders.com, tells CNBC where the euro-dollar pair could be heading.
