With Bonus In Rear View Mirror, How Should You Trade Goldman?

On Friday, Goldman Sachs awarded Chief Executive Lloyd Blankfein and other executives stock bonuses worth $9 million each, an increase from last year when they received no bonuses at all, but for Blankfein far below the $67.9 million he got in 2007.

The stock bonus was also below the roughly $16 million rival bank JPMorgan awarded to CEO Jamie Dimon earlier on Friday and fell vastly short of published speculation that Blankfein could get up to $100 million.

Goldman, Wall Street's dominant company, has been lambasted for its quick return to outsized profits and bonuses so soon after U.S. taxpayers had to rescue the financial services industry.

Now that the bonus controversy is out of the way, what's the bank trade?

$148 looks like support in Goldman, says Guy Adami. Use that as a reference

Yes, $148 may be support, says Pete Najarian, but $160 is resistance. I can’t feel bullish until it breaks above $160.

I’m a buyer of JPMorgan, says Karen Finerman, it’s attractive. I just think the sell-off in this name is overdone. And now that the noise over executive compensation is in the rear view mirror, the stock could pop.
