Cramer: Toyota Troubles Are Fab for Ford

“I don’t like the automakers,” Cramer said during Thursday’s Stop Trading!, though he did admit that the recall problems plaguing Toyota could be good for one American automaker.

Cramer pointed to “great numbers” from Magna International and TRW Automotive, who he said talked of a coming 11-million-unit auto build. If they are right, then investors should consider buying Ford Motor, but not the common stock. Cramer said specifically to go with the preferred shares .

“It’s still [CEO Alan] Mulally’s game to win,” Cramer said.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke told Congress today that he would look into reports that Goldman Sachs may have placed bets on Greece defaulting on its debt. What does Cramer think of the charges? Watch for the video for that.
