Following Canada’s victory over the U.S. last night in the gold medal game of women’s hockey at the Vancouver Olympics, Canada has now tied the U.S. and Germany for the most GOLD medals (8).
Not a bad showing for the Canadian athletes, even though with 17 overall medals, they still follow the U.S. (32), Germany (26), and Norway (19) in the race for the total number of medals at this year’s Winter Olympics.
But Canada is winning another “race” this month too. Pointed out by Standard & Poor’s Howard Silverblatt, Canada’s stock market is the best performing major market in February.
