SOFIA, May 10 (Reuters) - Bulgaria's industrial output jumped 21.1 percent on a monthly basis in March, after a 3.8 percent drop in February. Industrial production rose 1.7 percent year-on-year compared to a 10 percent decline a month earlier, statistics office data showed on Monday. Processing output grew 34.7 percent in March on the month, the mining industry rose 7.3 percent, while the production of electricity, heating, gas and water dropped 2.8 percent on a monthly basis. The Bulgarian economy contracted 5 percent in 2009 as the global downturn put an end to 12 years of growth.
