FERRO CORP, $9.99, up 11 pct The chemicals and coatings company said it would cut about 120 jobs at its European Dielectrics business. DYNEGY INC, $1.27, up 7 pct The electric energy company posted a quarterly profit, helped by mark-to-market gains, and retained its 2010 adjusted EBITDA outlook. STERLING CONSTRUCTION CO INC, $16.80, up 5 pct The civil construction firm posted a lower-than-expected quarterly profit, hurt by weakness in its two key markets -- Texas and Nevada. It also expects full-year profitability to be substantially below 2009. TRANSDIGM GROUP INC, $53.35, up 5 pct The aircraft parts maker posted a second-quarter profit that beat market estimates, raised its 2010 guidance and said commercial OEM sales seem less likely to decline in the second half of the year. COMTECH TELECOMMUNICATIONS, $32.30, up 4 pct CPI INTERNATIONAL INC, $15.81, up 21 pct The telecom equipment maker said it would buy smaller rival CPI International Inc in a cash and stock deal worth $472.3 million. POLYCOM INC, $30.49, up 4 pct The video conferencing company said Robert Hagerty will step down as CEO and is resigning from the board. SUNSTONE HOTEL INVESTORS INC, $12.47, up 9 pct The lodging real estate investment trust said it purchased two hotel loans for about $3.7 million, as it works its way around a sluggish market for hotel deals. ROCK OF AGES CORP, $4.10, up 21 pct The granite quarrier said Friday it received an unsolicited buyout proposal from privately held Swenson Granite Co for about $32 million. GEOEYE INC, $28.41, up 7 pct Satellite imagery company GeoEye Inc posted a first-quarter profit, helped by a 78 percent jump in sales, and raised the lower end of its 2010 revenue view. HARBIN ELECTRIC, $20.81, up 12 pct The Chinese maker of electric motors reported better-than-expected first-quarter results. ENERGY CONVERSION DEVICES INC, $6.37, up 8 pct The company reported a narrower-than-expected third-quarter loss, and said market conditions were improving. NELNET INC, $19.62, up 11 pct The consolidator of student loans posted a quarterly profit that beat Wall Street expectations, helped mainly by lower interest expenses. DISH NETWORK, $21.82, up 2 pct The satellite TV provider posted stronger-than-expected quarterly results as brisk demand for premium services and price increases overshadowed higher programming and legal costs. RUBIO'S RESTAURANTS INC, $8.501, up 11 pct The Mexican restaurant chain said it agreed to be acquired by private equity firm Mill Road Capital LP for about $91 million in cash.
