Pepperdine's Graziadio School Names LAUP's Gary Mangiofico as Associate Dean of Part-time, Executive MBA Programs

LOS ANGELES, May 10, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Gary L. Mangiofico, Ph.D., of Laguna Beach, Calif., Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP) and Pepperdine University professor, has been appointed Associate Dean for Fully-Employed Programs and Executive Programs at Pepperdine's Graziadio School of Business and Management, announced Dean Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D.

Dr. Mangiofico will assume responsibility for Executive Programs (including the EMBA, Presidential Key Executive MBA and M.S. in Organizational Development) and for all part-time programs (Fully-Employed MBA, Bachelor of Science in Management, and M.S. in Management and Leadership) effective this summer. He will also oversee student recruitment for these programs and the Graziadio School's marketing, communications and public relations operations. He will complete his employment with LAUP on June 25, 2010.

Dr. Mangiofico serves as Practitioner Faculty of Organizational Theory and Management and director of the Master of Science in Organization Development program at Pepperdine's Graziadio School, where he has taught since 2003. He is a former vice president for Johnson & Johnson Health Care Services; COO and senior vice president for Pathmakers, an integrated behavioral health practice management group; senior vice president for Apria Healthcare Group; and chief executive officer for CPC Alhambra Hospital. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in psychology from Chapman University in Orange, Calif., and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (Alameda/Berkeley). He has been delivering consulting services to corporations, private business, and non-profits since 1989.

Dr. Mangiofico is an active member of the Academy of Management, the American Psychological Association, and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has conducted over 300 workshops and keynote presentations in healthcare, community health, and healthcare economics.

More About the Programs The Fully Employed MBA program offers an immersive, highly collaborative evening and weekend education for students advancing into management responsibilities who wish to continue working while pursuing their degree. Classes are offered in West Los Angeles, Irvine, Encino, and Westlake Village on a flexible schedule.

The B.S. in Management program is an evening and weekend program for working professionals who wish to complete an undergraduate business education and qualify for an accelerated MBA and/or J.D. degree.
