13 Stocks We're Shorting: Market Pros (Pt. 2)

William Noonan, chief executive of Contravisory Research & Management, and Jeff Middleswart, president of Behind the Numbers, discussed which stocks and sectors investors should be shorting.

They discussed their best plays.

Middleswart said he is shorting the consumer product stocks.

“They had a lot of growth demand in late 2009 and early 2010—but we think a lot of those comps are gone,” he explained.

“And with the euro as a headwind, I don’t see how they’re going to get the volume growth they’ve always had.”

See Part 1 for Noonan's outlook — and 5 short names.

Middleswart is Shorting:

Colgate-Palmolive

Unilever

Procter & Gamble

International Flavors & Fragrances
